Family left homeless after house destroyed in WA's south

A WA family has been moved into temporary accommodation after a fire destroyed their home in the state's south-west.

The blaze broke out at the West Busselton property around 4.50pm on Tuesday.

Thirty firefighters from Bunbury, Busselton and Dunsborough spent 40 minutes controlling the Seymour Street blaze.

The family were not home at the time, but there's reports the family dog is unaccounted for.

Fire crews remain at the scene late on Tuesday with a cause and damage bill yet to be estimated.
