‘Get down’: Body cam footage shows police killing unarmed man

WARNING, GRAPHIC CONTENT: Footage has surfaced showing the horrific moment a US police officer shoots a man to death after he points his hands at the police in the shape of a gun.

The victim, Andrew Henson, was shot dead in Oklahoma last month after he led police on a wild car chase.

US police were attempting to question Henson after he was pulled over for a traffic violation according to CBS.

The dramatic chase however ended when Henson rammed a police car and rolled his own vehicle.

The newly surfaced footage which was shot from the body cams on the two offices show the 25-year-old Henson turn towards the pair with outstretched arms.

Merely moments later officer Robert Reynolds opens fire.

Reynolds proceeds to shoot Henson four times.

As the man is slumped on the sidewalk the officer proceeds to fire a fifth shot.

"I don’t know if he's got a gun, he pointed it at me,” Reynolds can be heard telling his colleague on the footage.

However it was later revealed that no gun was found on Henson.

Henson did have a warrant for his arrest in Mississippi.

In a statement released to the media the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Henson "made a threatening move toward the officer".

Both officers maintain Henson pointed his hands at them in the shape of a gun and said "You're going to have to kill me".

Henson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officer Reynolds remains on leave while an investigation into the shooting continues.
