Shocking video emerges of man opening fire at T.I. Concert

WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT: Confronting video has emerged of a gunman opening fire on Wednesday night at a hip-hop concert at Irving Plaza concert hall in Manhattan.

One person died and three others were injured in the shooting at the New York City concert where rapper T.I. was scheduled to headline.

In the terrifying video, released by the NYPD, three men can be seen barging through a door before one of them appears to fire a weapon.

Some people at a bar are hiding under the counter top while others appear to be huddling together for safety.

Police said when they arrived they discovered a 33-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the stomach, a 34-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest, and a 26-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The 33-year-old man, reportedly Ronald McPhatter, was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Authorities have arrested a Brooklyn-based rap artist in connection with the deadly shooting.

The NYPD says Roland Collins, 33, has been charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Mr Collins, who also goes by the name Troy Ave, also reportedly received a gunshot wound to the leg during the shooting.

According to CBS New York authorities claim he was one of two shooters involved in the incident, but it's alleged that Mr Collins is the shooter seen in the video which has been released.

Friends and family of Mr McPhatter said he was close to Mr Collins, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The publication claims police are trying to determine if it was Mr. Collins’s gun that killed Mr. McPhatter.

There was reportedly an argument in the greenroom, the performers' lounge, before the shooting, which intensified into a larger brawl involving about 40 people.

Authorities allege about five minutes into the fight Mr Collins left the room and fired his weapon.

Investigations are continuing.
