One dead and four injured following three-car crash in Queensland

A man has died in an accident involving three cars on Ipswich-Boonah Road at Washpool, south-west of Brisbane.

Police say the 58-year-old man from Croftby was the driver of one of the cars and was declared deceased at the scene.

Emergency crews were called to the crash at about 7.30am.

Queensland Ambulance Service also assessed four women on the scene, three with serious injuries and one with minor injuries.

They are all believed to be in a stable condition now, according to police.

All four patients were transported to the PA Hospital.

The cars have been removed from the road which has now reopened.

The forensic crash unit is investigating.
