4.3 magnitude earthquake stirkes near Broome

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Broome in Western Australia.

The tremor was felt around 4.30am WST (7.30 AEDT), at a depth of 12km.

The quake was just offshore and could potentially have been felt by people up to 84km away.

There are no reports of any damage.
