Rebels bikie boss on drug, firearm charges

A senior bikie gang member is facing drug and firearm charges after a long-running police investigation.

The charges follow raids on several premises where cash and druges were allegedly seized.

The 49-year-old president of the Bentley chapter of the Rebels bikie gang has been charged with supplying trafficable quantities of meth amphetamine as well as one charge of conspiring to unlawfully possess 10 Glock pistols.

His bail was refused and he will appear in the Perth Magistrate’s court today.

The man's partner and a female associate were also arrested and face similar charges.

Detective Senior Sergeant Darren Hart of the Gang Crime Squad said methamphetamine had the potential to do significant harm within the community.

WA Police urge anyone who is a victim of crime committed by outlaw motorcycle gang members to report the matter.
