A Joondalup man, 20, has been charged over a series of armed robberies in Perth's northern suburbs.

It will be alleged the man targeted service stations at Butler, Mindarie, Joondalup and Ocean Reef during a three-day spree this week.

Police alleged in each robbery the man was armed with a gun when he demanded cash and threatened staff.

The first two service stations were targeted on Wednesday, followed by separate raids on Thursday and Friday.

The man was charged with two counts of armed robbery, aggravated armed robbery and attempted armed robbery.

He is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court today.
