AHG secures 100th dealership

Automotive Holdings Group has cracked the ton with the establishment of its 100th dealership nationwide.

AHG announced this morning it had been granted a franchise to establish a new Mazda dealership in Brisbane.

AHG managing director Bronte Howson said the new Mazda dealership would be located on land secured by the group close to its existing Holden, HSV, Hyundai and Suzuki dealerships in the suburb of Browns Plains.

"This is our first Mazda dealership in Brisbane and further strengthens the group's portfolio of brands in Queensland," he said.

"The recent acquisitions and the new Mazda franchise continue the group's strategy of establishing or acquiring automotive dealerships within areas that form vibrant and operationally efficient retail hubs."

The new Browns Plains Mazda dealership will begin trading from temporary premises while a new dealership is constructed.

AHG shares were up one cent to $4.26.
