Consumer Protection officer pays visit
Consumer Protection Pilbara regional officer Gwynneth Haywood is in Port Hedland until noon tomorrow inspecting traders and offering advice to consumers and businesses on their rights and responsibilities.
Ms Haywood has a wealth of experience in the field and said if anyone had any issues they wanted to raise with her while she was in town, they should give her a call.
"I'm mainly doing inspections of traders, but also checking new businesses have correct signage and that petrol stations are displaying the right prices," she said.
"I'm not doing real estate, but if anyone has any questions about tenancy, I'm happy to talk to them.
"Sometimes I have arrived at businesses and their mouths drop, but I'm not a compliance officer."
