Man dies in Toodyay car crash

A man was killed in a car crash in Toodyay last night.

The 54-year-old driver from Toodyay died after his car rolled at 9.50pm.

Police said he was driving a Mitsubishi Triton ute along Julimar Road, about 2km west of Lukin Street, when he apparently drifted on to the southern shoulder of the road.

It appeared the man corrected the car on to the northern side of the road, where it rolled down an embankment and came to a rest.

Police said the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the ute and died at the scene.

Toodyay police have called for the public’s help with their investigation into the fatal crash.
