Search for NSW river for missing man

Authorities are searching a NSW mid-north coast river for a man last seen heading down it in a tinnie to a function.

Linc Moore left his house in Coopernook on Saturday evening in a small boat heading to Landsdowne on the Landsdowne River.

But he never arrived and his family contacted police about midday (AEDT) on Sunday.

"The tinnie was later found by Mr Moore's family drifting along the river but there was no sign of him," police said.

Local and water police and SES volunteers have been searching the river, looking for the 34-year-old tanned man last seen in a red life jacket, a light orange shirt, blue shorts and work boots.
