'Drunk driver' tracked by WA police dog
An alleged drink driver has been tracked down by a police dog after crashing his car in Perth's north.
The 42-year-old's sedan left the Reid Highway and slammed into a tree around 10pm on Friday.
Local officers attended with members of the dog squad.
The man was tracked down by a police dog after fleeing the scene.
He failed a breath test at the scene, along with a second test at Mirrabooka station, police allege.
The man has been summonsed for DUI for having a blood alcohol reading of higher than 0.150 per cent, or more than three times the legal limit.
