Heartless crime as new parents robbed

New parents, with a prematurely-born baby still in hospital, have begged for the return of their car and precious belongings after it was stolen early this morning by thieves.

Melbourne couple Ashleigh Ah Tune and King De-Oliveira have been making daily return trips to visit their baby, Talia Jade, in Mercy Hospital after she was born last Friday.

However, the couple returned home at 2am this morning and, when they woke, realised their car had been stolen from outside their Kingbury home.

Baby gifts, blankets, bottles and a steriliser, as well as a host of other baby products, were in the back and stolen, along with $800 cash and all their credit cards.

The couple now have to rely on family and friends just to get to see those new daughter, who while only premature, is doing well.
