Kennedy out for Hawthorn clash

West Coast have suffered a huge blow ahead of their clash with Hawthorn on Saturday with spearhead Josh Kennedy ruled out.

Kennedy suffered a heavy hit late in the 38-point loss to North Melbourne on Sunday night and scans have revealed a depressed fracture of the cheekbone that will require surgery.

The club are hopeful Kennedy will return when they take on Gold Coast at Patersons on June 14.

Xavier Ellis (corked hamstring) and Brad Sheppard (corked buttock) will face fitness tests ahead of the Hawks clash in Launceston.

Youngsters Brant Colledge (hamstring) and Simon Tunbridge (calf) have both been ruled out for up to a fortnight.
