Men escape injuries in marine accidents

There were no serious injuries as a result of two marine incidents in Geraldton last night.

A lone sailor on a yacht became entangled on the mooring lines of the fish farm at approximately 10pm.

The fish farm is located about 800m off the shore from Town Beach.

Geraldton Volunteer Marine Rescue spent 45 minutes manoeuvring the yacht off the mooring lines.

The Yacht spent the night at the Batavia Coast Marina.

Earlier in the evening a dinghy capsized 15 metres off Town Beach.

The three males on board made it safely to shore.

Geraldton Volunteer Marine Rescue communications coordinator Bob Bray said the three men planned to salvage the dinghy this morning.
