Hells Bells, WA’s premier AC/DC tribute band, will return to Kwinana on Friday night, playing for the first time at The Admiral Hotel.

Guitarist Mal Osborne said the band loved the intensity of Kwinana’s diehard fans.

“We love the loyalty of the AC/DC fans there,” he said.

“Maybe it’s because Bon Scott came from Kwinana and played a lot there.

“We’re bringing the music back to his home town. There is a rich history there of Bon Scott’s legacy.”

Osborne said he joined Hells Bells as a temporary gig, but almost 10 years on he continued to enjoy the band’s energy.

He said band’s cult following was responsible for its longevity.

“It’s a real celebration of AC/DC’s music,” Osborne said.

“To us the crowd is everything.

“When we can see people 20 deep at the stage with their hands in the air, you feel connected to them.

“You get to the stage where the band is fed by the audience.

“We owe it to them to keep going.”

The Admiral Hotel gig will be to a 200 strong crowd, one of Hells Bells’ smaller gigs.

They will play two sets — the Back to Black album from start to finish followed by The Best of AC/DC songs.

Hells Bells will be supported by multi-instrumentalist Jack Ceriani.

Tickets are $20 pre-sale and $25 at the door if available.
