Fourth student claims sex assault from teacher

A fourth student has come forward claiming he was sexually assaulted by former high school maths teacher Meredith Powell.

The allegations came to light when Powell sent a girlfriend of one of her victims a letter apologising for "promiscuous" and "unprofessional" text messages she sent the boy, the court detailed.

The 24-year-old has admitted to exchanging sexual pictures and performing multiple sex acts with students while she was a teacher.

One of the boys was only 15 at the time of the offences.

A new 17-year-old victim allegedly came to her class asking for help where she sexually abused him, court papers obtained by KIRO-TV show.

She asked what he would want to do," the documents read. "[The boy] said he would do anything."

"The defendant asked, 'You'll do anything?' and reached over and unzipped his pants."

Powell allegedly then said “this stays between us”.

The boy later moved school because of the embarrassment of the incident, and came forward with encouragement from his mother after the allegations against Powell came up.

Powell was fired from her job after the allegations surfaced in February.

The teacher allegedly had sex with two of the boys in a locked classroom, while sending "inappropriate" texts to a third.
