Van ploughs into mother with pram, drags baby away
US police have released shocking video of a man reversing his van into a mother and her pram, before driving away and dragging the baby behind the car.
The incident reportedly occurred in the outdoor car park of an alcohol store in Michigan on 25 June.
The driver, described by police as a black man wearing a blue T-shirt, saggy blue jeans, and blue and orange sneakers, was caught on CCTV cameras shopping inside the store before returning to his gold van.
It was then that the suspect reversed first in the woman and then into her pram, driving away with the child dragging behind the vehicle.
Remarkably, the woman was able to release her child from the pram at the back of the van before it drove away.
Neither the mother nor her child were injured in the incident.
Police are said to have released the vision in the hopes that members of the public will be shocked enough to identify the driver of the vehicle.
