Diner steps up to the 6000 calorie plate

For an average person, 6000 calories is about how much you would eat over three days.

This man ate it in one 27-minute meal, the Daily Mail revealed.

Jester Diner, a restaurant in Norfolk, England, challenges patrons to eat their KIDZ breakfast in 60 minutes (with no help) to get it free.

The breakfast weighs over 4kgs and includes 12 pieces of bacon, six eggs, 12 sausages, two hash browns, sauté potatoes, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, four servings of black pudding, four pieces of bread and butter, four pieces of toast and four pieces of fried bread.

Robert Pinto did better than just crush the 60 minute time limit, he obliterated the record, and the meal, in a total time of 26 minutes.

This isn't the first time Pinto had dined on a record meal.

He currently holds the Guinness world record for another huge breakfast - this time at Mario's Cafe, in Bolton, in November 2011.

He was able to devour that one in just eight minutes, 46 seconds.

However, Pinto revealed that the Kidz Breakfast was his most challenging meal yet.

He said: "It was a heart attack on a plate, to be honest it was pretty difficult especially with the fried bread which was literally covered in fat.

"I always knew it could be done, but I don't think anyone else could do it, that shows by the fact it took me the longest to eat out of all the ones I have done.

"When I first saw it, I thought 'that looks pretty big', and I didn't know where to start, there was a lot of potato and it was quite dry compared to the others which I think is the reason why it took longer.

"I do have a system, I try to use the bread to make little sandwiches filled with the other ingredients and that helps it go down better."

He added: 'It can be quite painful. But after I had that on Monday I went for five-mile run, went down the gym and had a swim, you have to keep healthy.

"It's all about the fruit and veg for me now for the rest of the week."

Professor David Haslam, from the National Obesity Forum, told The Daily Mail, the meal could lead to diabetes, heart disease and a stroke.

He added that, even though a person could die after eating the breakfast in one sitting, it was ‘very unlikely’.

According to Haslam, Jester Diner should take responsibility and stop serving the 'dangerous' breakfast.

“We kept getting hassled that our Fat Boy Breakfast wasn’t big enough so we decided that we’d go one stage further and take it to the ultimate," Martin Smith, owner of Jester Diner, told The Daily Mail.

“Obviously this is not something that should be attempted lightly. We don’t particularly recommend it. It’s just a bit of fun really.”
