The male athlete who had Wozniacki 'shaking'

Caroline Wozniacki has revealed one of the very few people who make her star struck after her win over Australia's Arina Rodionova.

The Danish tennis star said professional football player Fernando Torres left her "shaking" when they met back when he played for Liverpool.

Wozniacki was asked who outside the tennis world she'd like to get a selfie with.

"Well, one would be Fernando Torres, the soccer player. I was always a big fan of his," Wozniacki said.

"That's one of the only people I've ever gotten star-struck off. I went to a Liverpool game once. They had media. They asked me if I wanted to meet him. I was, like, shaking. I completely blanked on that. So probably him.

"And then (actor) Jake Gyllenhaal.

"Two very random ones, I know. But there you go."

The former world No.1 made short work of local wildcard Rodionova, needing just 67 minutes to oust the 27-year-old 6-1 6-2.

It set Wozniacki up for a second-round clash with Croatian Donna Vekic, who ended the campaign of another Australian wildcard, Lizette Cabrera, 7-5 6-2.
