Brooklyn Beckham 'snubs Man United and Chelsea', signs with Arsenal

Brooklyn Beckham looks set for footballing stardom after reportedly signing a one-year deal with Arsenal.

The 15-year-old has impressed Gunners coaches so much that the north London club have offered him a short-term contract, according to a report in the Daily Star.

David Beckham's eldest son has been training with Arsenal, who are already plotting an improved longer-term deal if he 'continues to shine' with his performances in the coming year.

The paper also reports that, as a result of accepting Arsenal's offer, Brooklyn has effectively snubbed other deals on the table from Chelsea and Manchester United.

A source quoted by the paper said: "Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played.

"He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club.

"Arsenal realise he can be a huge talent. They have seen that potential and protected their asset," the source continued.

"The club has signed him, fending off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in the meantime.

"Next summer we may see him sign a big-money deal and with Arsenal."

With Beckham's other sons Romeo and Cruz also believed to be very talented young players, it may not be long until we see all three in professional football.

Romeo, who is 12-years-old, has been playing for Arsenal's U13s for a year, while 10-year-old Cruz has been representing the club's U10s.

The paper's source said: "The Beckhams have a strong link with Arsenal despite David’s Manchester United past. David has a good relationship with manager Arsene Wenger.

"Brooklyn really has potential. Wenger was impressed with his talent, his attitude and his drive to succeed."
