Mayweather draws fire for failing to tip waitress

Boxer Floyd Mayweather has taken a jab from a waitress who claims he failed to tip despite having pocketed a $32 million prize purse only hours earlier.

It has been reported Mayweather and his entourage of around 150 people headed to the Hard Rock Café following his victory over Marcos Maidana at the MGM Grand last Saturday.

The group allegedly racked up a $US24,000 bill on alcohol and chicken wings but Nik Nguyen, the waitress who doted on them all night, claims she didn’t receive a cent.

A shocked Ms Nguyen told the media that she “…went the extra mile to provide Floyd and company with excellent service” but failed to receive the customary reward.

Team Mayweather is yet to respond to the allegations but the incident is already drawing comparisons to the recent tipping controversy involving NFL player LeSean McCoy.
