Dale Steyn absolutely terrifies young teammate
South African fast bowler Dale Steyn is well-known for the terrifying look he gets on his face when he takes a big wicket.
And his 21-year-old teammate Quinton de Kock has felt the full force of it.
In South Africa’s recent one-day international against Australia in Zimbabwe, wicketkeeper de Kock called off Steyn to take a catch.
Steyn, who is 10 years de Kock’s senior, appeared to take exception to his young teammate’s move, angrily slapping his gloves and staring him down.
The look on de Kock’s face was one of absolute terror. But lucky for him, Steyn was just playing a prank on the rookie, giving him a big man-hug to apologise.
Prank or not, de Kock might think twice about calling Steyn off in the future.
Australia and South Africa will meet again in the tri-series final after the Aussies defeated the Proteas by 63 runs.
