Cal State Fullerton forward Gerard Anderson is one of college basketball's most accomplished dunkers, but he seems to save his most YouTube-worthy efforts for Cal State Northridge.
First came this vicious slam on a hapless Matadors defender back in January. Then in the first round of the Big West tournament on Wednesday night, Anderson delivered another freakish display of athleticism, finishing a fastbreak by leaping over 6-foot Vinnie McGhee and unleashing a fierce one-hand jam.
"Guys who say slam dunks are only worth two points are out of it," Fullerton Coach Bob Burton told the Los Angeles Times. "That was a touchdown."
Dunks like those are one of the reasons Fullerton is pushing Anderson as a candidate for the college dunk contest at the end of the season. If he makes it, maybe he should bring a couple Northridge defenders as props.
