Project Walk and WalkOn in

Project Walk is an internationally recognised exercise centre in California where spinal cord injury patients are given the hope of walking again…and they do. In our last series we met a Melbourne man who defied the specialists to take his first steps at the centre.

Now another Australian is heading there – and for Chris Bath his journey is special because he’s one of her best mates.

It’s a grave statistic, but 300 Australians will suffer from spinal cord injuries in Australia each year. Fortunately for them, come next year a series of Project Walk style centres will begin to open nationally. It’ll mean that for people like Matt they won’t need to spend money going overseas as the hope and help they need, will be here at home.

You can learn more about Project Walk and the Australian version WalkOn on our website.
