A National Memorial Service is underway in Auckland for those who lost their lives in the Pacific tsunami.
Families of the New Zealand victims and the wider Pacific community have gathered at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Parnell. Prime Minister John Key has joined other dignitaries in paying their respects. The Governor-General Anand Satyanand and the Samoan Prime Minister are also expected to join the congregation.
Our reporter says the atmosphere at the service this afternoon is one of reflection.
