Australia's elite cricketers will share in an extra $20 million after Cricket Australia posted better-than-expected figures.

A spokesman for CA says the organisation's revenue over the past five years was far better than projected.

Players will receive 25 per cent of the extra funds, while the other 75 per cent is going back into grassroots cricket.
