ABC November 4, 2009, 1:12 pm

The Federal Court in Brisbane has fined two truck retail companies and three people for price-fixing and market-sharing.

The court found that Vanderfield and Sci-Fleet Motors colluded to fix prices on light and medium trucks between February 2005 and September 2006.

The retailers - based in Brisbane, Toowoomba, and the Gold Coast - have each been ordered to pay more than $500,000.

Two sales managers from Vanderfield and one from Sci-Fleet Motors will pay $30,000 each.

The companies have also been ordered to pay legal costs.
