St Kilda has made one change for Saturday's 2009 AFL Grand Final against Geelong, dropping defensive midfielder Robert Eddy for the more experienced Sean Dempster.

Geelong, meanwhile, has named the same line-up that thumped Collingwood in last week's preliminary final.

One of just four players at Moorabbin with grand final experience, Dempster gets the opportunity to claim a second premiership medal after snaring one with Sydney in 2005.

Sidelined for much of the pre-season by a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament sustained in the final round of the home-and-away season last year, the 25-year-old returned to the St Kilda line-up in Round 15 and played through to Round 22 before being overlooked for the club's two finals.

Eddy's 10 matches in 2009 included eight in the second half of the season and both of the Saints' finals wins over Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs.

But the 21-year-old's stats tailed off over the past month and he was only able to manage four disposals and one tackle last Friday night against the Dogs.

Jarryn Geary, David Armitage and James Gwilt are the Saints' nominated emergencies.

The Cats' decision to go in unchanged means that small forward Mathew Stokes misses out.

Stokes, who missed the preliminary final because of groin soreness, was named among the Cats' three emergencies with Simon Hogan and Shane Mumford.

A member of the club's 2007 premiership side, Stokes was singled out by senior coach Mark Thompson after the Collingwood win as the player who most deserved to be included for the premiership decider.
