Aides within the Republican camp have been revealing gaps in Sarah Palin's knowledge, according to reports.
Palin is said to have been puzzled about Africa and did not realise it was a continent not a country.
She is also thought to believe South Africa was a region of that 'country'.
It seems the blame game has started amongst the losing Republican Party as it reflects on losing the election to Barack Obama.
Palin has been called an "ill-informed diva" and has also been accused of being disobedient to the wishes of the campaign because she was used to working on her own.
It is the latest drama surrounding Palin, who came under fire for spending up big on her clothes throughout the campaign.
Aides reportedly revealed Palin was a shopaholic and splashed out thousands of dollars on clothes for her entire family.
One of her daughters was seen carrying a Louis Vuitton bag.
Since becoming the Republican Party's nomination for vice-president, Palin has been scrutinised.
It was revealed in a casual conversation with a teacher that Palin believed dinosaurs (widely accepted to have become extinct about 65 million years ago) had co-existed with men on an earth created 6000 years ago.
In some popular strains of Christianity, it is believed the earth is 6000-10,000 years old, a view opposed by the evolutionists who age it about 4.5 billion years old.
Despite hiccups during the campaign, Palin is considered a strong contender for the party nomination in 2012.
