Presenter Jackie O has called 2009 her 'annus horribilis', following the rape scandal on her 2Day FM radio show.
It's the first time she's talked about the dramas, that threatened to derail her career.
She told New Idea magazine, "I guess in hindsight what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and it definitely did that!"
In July last year, a 14-year-old revealed on Kyle and Jackie O's show that she'd been raped at the age of 12. She was linked to a lie detector and asked about her sexual history.
Jackie stepped down from her role for three weeks. Then soon after their return, Kyle Sandilands made a joke about Magda Szubanski and a concentration camp, sparking more outrage.
34-year-old Jackie told New Idea she was unprepared for the troubles.
"You'd have to be an ice queen not to cry about everything. But you can only cry so much before you pick yourself up and say 'OK, what can I learn from this?'"
"Many times I've thought it's not worth it. Many times I've been tempted to walk away."
But she adds that the team has now changed the direction of the show, making it more family friendly.Celebs raking in the big bucks Today Tonight
