Mark Wilhelm to face retrial

ABC November 6, 2009, 10:48 am

The man charged over the death of cruise ship passenger Dianne Brimble, Mark Wilhelm, will face a retrial next year.

In October, a Sydney jury was dismissed after being unable to reach a verdict on one of two charges against Wilhelm.

The 37-year-old South Australian man was charged with manslaughter and supplying a prohibited drug after Dianne Brimble's body was found in his cabin seven years ago.

She had alcohol and the drug fantasy in her system.

In the New South Wales Supreme Court a new trial date has been set for April next year.

Mark Wilhelm was not in court.
