A sewage spill has forced the closure of two beaches in the Sandy Bay area near Hobart.
Signs have been erected at Little Sandy Bay Beach and Blinking Billy Point and swimmers are advised to avoid the areas.
The Environmental Protection Authority says the spill happened yesterday morning when a pump station failed because of a power outage.
