The Tasmanian Government has rejected calls for an extra week of parliament to deal with a backlog of legislation.

Tasmania's Lower House is due to sit for four more days before the March state election and the Government has a mounting pile of legislation.

Members sat until 2:30am to pass the bill for an Integrity Commission.

The Opposition Leader, Will Hodgman, questioned the Premier this morning on the need for a 15-hour sitting day.

He has called for an extra week of parliament to ensure "proper" debate on remaining legislation.

But David Bartlett says the scheduled days will be enough.

"With a bit of hard work, from all or you for a change," he said.

Another late sitting is planned tonight, without lunch or dinner breaks, so the Dying With Dignity euthanasia legislation can be debated.
