The Tasmanian Liberals want the Government to reveal where the money for recent funding announcements is coming from.

The Treasurer's annual financial report for the last financial year showed a $340 million budget blow out.

The Liberal's treasury spokesman Peter Gutwein says the same situation must be avoided this year.

He wants to know where recently announced funding for tourism, teachers' laptop upgrades and the railway buy back has come from, since it was not announced in the budget four months ago.

"The Government now need to explain what's occurring with the budget moving forward," he said.

"Have revenues increased dramatically enough to enable the spending this government has engaged in in the last month to occur? where's the money coming from?"

The Treasurer Michael Aird says it is unfunded Liberal policies that would force Tasmania back into net debt and Mr Gutwein does not understand accounting matters.
