The owner of a northern Tasmanian animal shelter has appealed for the return of her dogs.

An anonymous person recently entered Jenny Sielhorst's property and sent a video to a Hobart vet, who has expressed concerns about some of the animals featured.

The RSPCA and the Department of Parks and Wildlife are investigating whether there have been any permit breaches.

Ms Sielhorst says the RSPCA visited her property a month ago and she hasn't got a case to answer.

"I don't think so. They're all well fed, everything's clean everything's okay.

"The RSPCA has been here on numerous occasions and they themselves said they couldn't find anything at fault," Ms Sielhorst said.

Ms Sielhorst says she's happy for the group to return and inspect her property again if it wishes.

"I'm quite happy for the RSPCA to come back for another visit, and I have never talked to the Parks and Wildlife people, so they've never been here and I don't know that side of things at all."

In the meantime, Ms Sielhorst has made official complaints of trespass, damage to property and theft, in connection with the filming of her property.

She says the police are investigating the theft of six dogs featured in the video.

"They're all under veterinary treatment and they actually took two dogs that have been living together for 12 years, they've never been separated since they were six-week-old puppies," she said.

"And they've actually been sponsored by their owner while they're here because the elderly owner went into a nursing home."

Police say two of the animals could die without their daily heart medication.
