Police release video of robbery

Police have released security video of an armed robbery at a Kensington Hotel over Easter.

Police have said the same group of men who held up the Robin Hood Hotel on Portrush Rd at Kensington at 11 o'clock Monday night are also responsible for a string of other robberies.

The first was when three men held up the drive-through bottle shop of the Whitehorse Inn at Bolivar on Easter Sunday, just before 8 o'clock that night.

They fled with alcohol and cash in a stolen Misubishi sedan which was later found dumped in Deuter Rd at Paralowie.

The second robbery in the series was the Robin Hood Hotel, when three men armed with a small axe, a screw driver and a rifle burst through the gaming area, jumped the counter and stole cash on Monday night.

On the way out the also left with patrons' handbags.

They fled in a silver Nissan, which was later found torched on Ross St at Torrensville.

The third robbery was early Tuesday morning, when four men targeted the Hilton Hotel on South Rd at Hilton.

They were armed with a spanner, a screwdriver, small axe and a rifle.

They walked into the gaming room where they threatened staff and stole cash.

Police have said they also stole a gun from a security guard working at the hotel.

It's believed they fled in a stolen blue 2004 Toyota Kluger with a registration plate reading XDG-273.

The men are described as being between 180-170cm tall, in their early to mid 20's wearing hooded jumpers.

Three of the men had their faces covered, the fourth was described as having dark eyes.
