A drunken woman in the UK rammed a three-inch heel through her boyfriend’s eye hitting his brain, a jury has heard.

Staci Hargreaves, 33, allegedly kicked Gavin Taylor, 28, after a boozy night out when he turned around in the front seat of a taxi during an argument, The Daily Mail reported.

A Bradford court has reportedly been told, "The heel of one shoe went through the left eye of Mr Gavin Taylor and fractured the socket and entered his brain and caused a blood vessel to burst."

Mr Taylor then allegedly began coughing up blood and was rushed unconscious to hospital, where he underwent two operations.

Ms Hargreaves told police she could not recall the incident, but there was a possibility she may have kicked out her leg and unintentionally caused the injuries.

The couple had reportedly been out drinking in Huddersfield with another couple in the early hours of February 7th when they caught a taxi home.

Taxi driver Mohammed Akbar testified that he saw a foot come between the seats and Taylor then began shouting "My eye, my eye."

He then told the court he drove to the nearest police station and sounded his horn until officers came to his aid.

Ms Hargreaves denies causing grievous bodily harm with intent and an alternative charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The trial continues.
