A 25-year-old man has been accused of attacking and robbing three elderly men using walking frames, and another who is blind, in Sydney's inner south.

Police say the man assaulted and stole from four victims, aged from 73 to 88, while they were out shopping in Redfern and Waterloo.

The alleged thief struck between November 2 and 7, approaching the men as they left the supermarket or entered their unit complex.

A Redfern man was arrested on Saturday as he was leaving a property on Pitt Street, Waterloo.

He was later charged with robbery, stealing and assault with intent to rob.

He was refused bail to appear in Central Local Court on Monday.

Redfern Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the robberies to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
