Mark Wilhelm will face a second manslaughter trial next year over the cruise ship death of Dianne Brimble.
Last month, after four weeks of evidence, a jury in the NSW Supreme Court failed to reach a verdict at his first trial and was dismissed.
During a brief arraignment in the court on Friday, Justice Roderick Howie set a new trial date of April 19.Wilhelm has been accused of the manslaughter of the Brisbane mother, whose body was found on the floor of a P&O cruise ship cabin in September 2002.
He also faces a charge of supplying her with the illegal drug GHB, also known as fantasy or liquid ecstasy, which was found in her body.Wilhelm was not present in court during his arraignment.
