Detectives investigate Cobram death

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man in the northern Victoria town of Cobram.

The victim, aged about 50, was found dead at a house in Warkil Street, Cobram, about 250km north of Melbourne, following and incident at that address about 8pm (AEDT) on Tuesday, police said.

A crime scene was established at the premises on Tuesday night and homicide detectives were travelling from Melbourne to the Murray River town on to take charge of the investigation.

It was not yet clear how the man died but the incident was being treated as suspicious, police said.
