A 29-year-old Victorian woman has died after being hit by a taxi in the Hungarian capital Budapest while on a European vacation.
Family members have identified Allison Swayn, of Ocean Grove, on Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula, as the victim in the October 11 incident.
Ms Swayn had been working in London for several years.Her boyfriend Ryan Lapish has written in the Geelong Advertiser that life without her "will never be the same, but I will always have our wonderful memories."
A foreign affairs spokeswoman said the department was seeking further information about the incident from Budapest authorities.The Australian Embassy in Budapest is helping the woman's next of kin still in Europe while consular officials are assisting her family in Victoria.
