It sounds like a Hollywood movie plot but a man and woman in the US have finally kissed each other at their wedding after remaining abstinent throughout their relationship.
Claudaniel Fabien, 30, and Melody LaLuz, 28, tied the knot in Chicago at the weekend after being together since 2006.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported the couple pledged to abstain from sex before marriage but went one step further and agreed not to kiss each other on the lips.
Both abstinence educators, the couple met on a mission trip in Uganda.
They both waited with anticipation as the minister said: "now you may kiss the bride."
"It feels like such a gift," Melody said.
"When you value a kiss, it becomes something of worth."
