Hello little J'Zayden and Nicoachus: Book of bogan baby names released
Have you ever secretly wondered if your baby name is bogan?
A new book has been published revealing the latest and greatest bogan baby names and apparently Straya has evolved significantly since the days of Shazza and Dazza.
Aussies are choosing something far more exotic and seemingly challenging to spell correctly.
Author and baby naming expert Sabrina Rogers-Anderson has complied a collection in her new book titled, The Little Book of Bogan Baby Names.
Along with the long list of names Ms Rogers-Anderson also includes the meaning behind the not so usual naming choices.
Included in the list are ‘bogan-hybrids’ such as J'Zayden, a combination of favourites Jayden and Zaiden.
Other bogan inspired names include Braelyn, Nashayleah, Allure, Chayce and Vegas.
“Most readers have taken my bogan musings as they were intended – a good-natured laugh,'' she reportedly said.
“We all have a bit of bogan in us that needs to be celebrated. Truth be told, I can’t help but like some of these names just a little bit.”
Many of the names on the list are typically traditional names with unique spelling twists.
Also included are unusual pronunciations and excessive letters added to the names.
Other names featured in the book include, Jack Daniel, Diesel, Harleen, Nicoachus, Rebel and Wynter – which was assume is an alternate spelling for “Winter”.
