Former bikini model to sue Queensland Police for $400,000

A former bikini model who claims five police officers viewed her personal file more than 1400 times is suing the Queensland Police Service for $400,000.

Renee Eaves said she “fears for her safety” after a Right to Information request allegedly uncovered the staggering number of views since 2006.

"It felt like someone was looking through my underwear drawer daily," Ms Eaves told Daily Mail Australia.

The Gold Coast social justice advocate launched the legal action against five police officers after filing a complaint with the Crime and Corruption Commission.

Ms Eaves said she now plans to move from her home.

With only a handful of traffic infringements against her name, Ms Eaves said she was horrified to learn that more than 300 officers had accessed her private information.

Unable to make comment on the legal proceedings, the former model said she was left scathing by the lack of action taken by the QPS after her initial complaint.
