Woman found 'dazed and naked' filmed stealing police truck in US

A US Police department has released the body camera of an officer whose truck was stolen by a naked woman.

The woman, who had told the officer she had been sexually assaulted, was arrested after a chase that lasted for more than 100km.

Video shows Mariscopa County Sheriff's Office Deputy Francisco Campillo driving his truck when he noticed Lisa Luna walking dazed and naked at a petrol station on January 5.

It’s alleged Luna was high on drugs when she was found by the officer in Gila Bend, Arizona, 3TV Phoenix reports.

Luna allegedly told the officer she had been sexually assaulted.

When Deputy Campillo went to the back of his car to get a blanket for her, Luna got into the front seat and took off.

It’s alleged the officer was briefly dragged when the car sped off, causing him to suffer minor injuries.

Another driver ushered the police officer into his car and allowed him to pursue the stolen squad car.

The pursuit lasted 112km as Luna allegedly reached speeds of up to 160km/h.

Luna later crashed into a Subaru, which was carrying five people.

The police car was stopped on a median strip, where Luna was taken into custody.

Luna later recanted her claim she was sexually assaulted and told police she had stolen the car as a result of being high on drugs.

Luna was charged with felony counts of endangerment, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft of a means of transportation.
