Man dies after impaling himself 'trying to jump fence' in Adelaide

A man has died after he reportedly impaled himself on a fence near a railway line in Adelaide.

Police said the man's body was discovered near the railway line between Victoria St and Devon St at Goodwood about 5pm Saturday.

The death is not believed to be suspicious.

Police said the man may have been attempting to jump the fence as a short cut.
