Two buses destroyed in Sydney Airport fire

Fire crews have raced to a blaze at Sydney Airport on Sunday afternoon, as flames erupted from two buses in a long-term carpark.

The fire began in a bus at the "Blue Emu" car park and quickly spread to an adjoining bus.

Thick plumes of smoke billowed over the airport, as emergency crews worked to extinguish the blaze.

The two buses were destroyed, and a third was also damaged.

Nobody was inside the vehicles at the time.

It is unknown how the fire started.

Sydney Airport confirmed flights were unaffected.
