Missing Victorian man rescued after spending four days in bushland

Missing Victorian man, James Grimes, has been found alive after spending four days in the Victorian bushland, west of Melbourne.

Emergency crews located the man alive on Tuesday, just before 4pm, near the Lerderderg State Park River, after an extensive search of the area.

Mr Grimes, 62, left his home at Swans Road, Darley, in the town of Bacchus Marsh, about 8.30am on Saturday with a backpack.

He had not made contact with anyone since and police raised concerns for his safety
