Queensland Police have released footage of a wild chase through suburbia, which led to another driver being held at knifepoint and forced from his moving car.

The pursuit took place through Logan and involved two men who were filmed evading patrol cars.

PolAir footage captured on Sunday evening, showed the accused evading several police cars in a vehicle which they later abandoned, as they tried to escape on foot.

Police said they tried to intercept the pair before 8pm.

The men allegedly did not stop and carried on to Loganholme shopping centre, police said in a statement.

After abandoning the first car, the two occupants allegedly carjacked another vehicle and fled with the driver still behind the wheel.

The 31-year-old man eventually jumped from his moving car with the alleged assailants inside.

PolAir captured the man as he rolled out of his car onto the road, before the occupants continued their alleged escape.

The man told police he was bashed and robbed at knifepoint before he was forced to drive the two men.

Officers were forced to use tyre spikes to disable the vehicle, but video shows the occupants fled on foot into parkland.

The two men separated before being tackled by a number of officers.

Police charged a 26-year-old Beenleigh with deprivation of liberty, dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of a vehicle and assault occasioning bodily harm.

A 22-year-old Woodridge man was charged with deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing dangerous drugs.

Both men are to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court Monday.
